RBI Grade B Selection Process – All 3 Stages
- Phase 1 – Preliminary Examination: Online objective-type exam. Acts as a screening test. Marks not counted in final merit for General stream; for DEPR/DSIM, Phase 1 marks count in aggregate.
- Phase 2 – Main Examination: Descriptive and objective papers. Higher-level questions testing domain knowledge, English writing ability, and economic/financial awareness. This is the most important stage — Phase 2 marks determine shortlisting for Interview.
- Interview: Final round conducted at RBI offices. Assesses personality, communication, understanding of economics/banking/statistics, and suitability for the role. Interview marks are added to Phase 2 marks for final merit.
