SSC Stenographer 2026 Vacancy Details
SSC has announced a total of 731 tentative vacancies for Stenographer Grade C and Grade D posts. The exact post-wise and category-wise breakdown will be published on the official SSC website under “For Candidates > Tentative Vacancy” as it is finalised.

SSC Stenographer 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University. Stenography skills are mandatory — these are tested in the Skill Test round.

Nationality

SSC Stenographer 2026 Selection Process
Candidates are selected through a 3-stage process:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) — Objective MCQ exam
- Skill Test (Stenography) — Dictation at 100 wpm (Grade C) or 80 wpm (Grade D); transcription in 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi)
- Document Verification — Verification of all original certificates
The final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of CBT marks (category-wise). The Skill Test is qualifying in nature.

SSC Stenographer 2026 Salary

- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done
- Log in and find “Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2026”
- Fill in academic details, preferences and personal information carefully
- Upload photograph (4–12 KB, 100×120 px) and signature (1–12 KB, 40×60 px) as per specs
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) via UPI, Net Banking or Card
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page / printout
